ANDRÉ ZECHMANN IN PORTRAIT

Born on May 21, 1974, in Schladming and raised in the Ennstal valley, André Zechmann discovered his exceptional talent for visual art at an early age. Even as a child, he won numerous painting competitions and developed a keen sense for materials and techniques. After training as an advertising technician and over 30 years of experience in graphic design, painting, and airbrushing, he perfected his craft on a wide variety of surfaces.

Married since 2006 and father of two sons, André is a family man and a nature lover. This connection to nature is reflected in many of his works, be it tattoos or paintings.

CREATIVITY MEETS PRECISION

In 2003, André found his calling in tattooing and quickly established himself as a pioneer of color realism in Europe. He was the first tattoo artist in the world to complete a qualifying exam at the Graz Chamber of Commerce and Industry and opened one of Austria's first tattoo studios. He achieved international recognition, among other things, with his work "Flying Phoenix," which reached over 90 million people worldwide.

André later founded his own fashion line, "André Zechmann," which combines tattoo art with modern, sustainable traditional clothing. Highlights such as the SteirerJogger® and vegan leather pants set new standards in the industry.

Over the years, André has continually expanded his artistic practice. His current passion is mural painting. With large-format murals, he transforms hotels, public buildings, and private spaces into fascinating art worlds. Projects such as the artistic design of the underground parking garage at the Almwellness Pierer Hotel on the Teichalm or at the Kornock Hotel on the Turracher Höhe impressively demonstrate his ability to harmoniously combine architecture and painting.
