STADTWIRT LIEZEN | A NEW WALL PAINTING PROJECT

Some projects are more than just a commission – they are an invitation to fill a space with life.

For the Stadtwirt Liezen I was able to implement exactly that: a large-scale, hand-painted mural that combines regional identity, alpine landscape and craftsmanship.

Starting with a white wall, a multi-layered world of images gradually emerged: gentle mountain ranges, traditional architecture, meadows, fences, and a sweeping view over the city. Every element was painted freehand – without stencils, prints, or shortcuts. Many hours of intensive, meticulous work were required to create depth, tranquility, and atmosphere.

It was particularly important to me that the painting not impose itself, but rather support the space. It should accompany, not dominate. Guests should arrive, linger, and feel comfortable – almost as if they were stepping outside into the landscape.

This project demonstrates what is possible when art, space, and concept work together. Here, mural painting is not merely decoration, but an integral part of the architecture and the identity of the house.
