Why trends fail technically

Durability is a technology, not a trend.

Tattoo trends usually originate from images – not from technique. What works on social media is often optimized for the moment: soft, detailed, extremely fine, visually spectacular. What's frequently missing is the technical reality of the skin.

Trends ignore the fact that pigments migrate, lines change, and skin loses elasticity, structure, and contrast over the years. Micro-details, extremely soft transitions, or fashionable styles are often not designed for longevity—but for attention.

However, a tattoo is not a trendy product, but a permanent decision.

Technically functional tattoos require clear structures, conscious reduction, and a contrast design that takes aging into account.

Many trends fail not because of the idea, but because of a lack of experience with long-term skin development.

That's why I don't design tattoos according to current trends, but according to principles that still work after many years.
